The North American Division’s Pentecost 2025 initiative is igniting a nationwide movement of evangelism and spiritual renewal, focusing on outreach through proclamation gatherings, Bible studies, and community engagement. This ambitious effort aims to host at least 3,000 evangelistic events in 2025, making it one of the largest coordinated initiatives in NAD history.
The Lake Union has shown strong support, with 347 churches and schools already committed to the initiative. Michigan leads the way with 109 participating churches, followed by Lake Region with 96, Wisconsin with 65, Indiana with 53, and Illinois with 24. Each registration represents a step toward expanded outreach, and we commend the efforts of those who have already joined. We urge every church and school to get involved and contribute to this transformative mission. Lake Union churches and schools have requested over $1 million in funding, highlighting the scale of commitment, and additional support remains available. Participating entities can receive up to $3,000 in funding, distributed in two phases: 50% upfront and 50% upon completion of the event.
This initiative aims not just to host events but to foster a lasting culture of mission-focused outreach in every church and school. It’s not just about numbers—it’s about a movement where lives are transformed, communities are uplifted, and churches become centers of hope. As we approach 2025, we aim to involve as many churches and schools as possible, urging everyone to seize this opportunity.
As Jesus said in Matthew 9:37-38, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Ellen G. White echoes this call to action, writing, “It is the privilege of every Christian, not only to look for but to hasten the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Were all who profess His name bearing fruit to His glory, how quickly the whole world would be sown with the seed of the gospel” (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 8, p. 22).
Jesus also promises in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
Pentecost 2025 is not limited to pastors; it especially invites lay members, students, and teachers to take active roles. Small Bible study groups can be held in homes and classrooms, cultivating a broader culture of mission. This inclusive approach allows everyone to participate, making 2025 a year of spiritual transformation.
If your church or school has not yet registered, consider stepping forward in faith. In these challenging times, the call to share the good news of salvation is more urgent than ever.
The deadline to apply for funding is December 31, 2024, or until funds are exhausted. Act now and be part of a mission that can change lives.
