9. Three Conferences Join Forces to Launch New Online School
Three conferences in the Lake Union are teaming up to deliver synchronous Adventist Education online for 1st through 8th grades. Together, they're bringing live instruction to children across Indiana, Wisconsin, and Illinois, allowing them to access education safely from their homes four days a week.
8. Making a Difference, One Voice at a Time
A group of students and faculty from the Andrews University School of Communication Sciences & Disorders took their first international service trip to Jamaica from May 30–June 14. The team of 31 healthcare professionals and speech-language pathology graduate students provided much-needed speech, language, cognitive, swallowing and hearing services to over 200 students from the Llandilo School of Special Education.
7. Solar Eclipse Presents Opportunity for Evangelism in Indiana
The anticipation is building as the city of Evansville, along with many others cities are in “the path of totality.” The moon passes directly between the earth and the sun, casting a shadow that creates a brief period of darkness known as totality. Many eyewitnesses of the solar eclipse have indicated that this is a “must- see” experience. Someone said: “It’s one of the most overwhelming sights you’ll ever experience.” Someone else added: “If the sight does not have you shaking in awe, you must be dead.” According to them it’s a big deal. For Evansville Church members, it’s more than a big deal, it’s an opportunity.
6. Twelve Teams Advance to Pathfinder Bible Experience Division Level
Twenty-two teams tested their knowledge of the book of Joshua at the Lake Union Pathfinder Bible Experience held at the Berrien Springs Village Church on Sabbath, March 30. Twelve teams received first place and will move on the Division level.

Johnsons follow the Scherencels who retired after 12 years of management. In Sept. 2023, Mark and his wife Becky Johnson moved to the Historic Adventist Village to combine their love of people, history and Adventist heritage.
4. A Tragic Loss Unites Grieving Family and Community at South Bend’s Hope for the Hurting Heart Series
In the wake of heartbreaking loss, hope and healing found an unexpected home at the Hope for the Hurting Heart evangelistic series held at the Berean South Bend Church. When a local family experienced the sudden passing of their two-month-old son during the conference, the Berean Transformation Center, which was hosting the weeklong event, became a sanctuary of comfort and compassion.

Niche.com previously reported that Andrews University was ranked as the #4 Christian college in the United StateS. The ranking organization has now published a statement acknowledging errors in its calculation, revising the University’s ranking to #19 among Christian colleges in the nation.
